GAINESVILLE, Fla. — People are remembering a south Florida family of five killed in a crash leaving Georgia.
Florida troopers said the family's rental car veered off Interstate-75 near Gainesville, Florida Sunday. They said the car crashed into a tractor-trailer broken down on the side of the highway.
Two girls and their parents died. A 10-year-old boy survived but died a day later at the hospital.
Neighbors couldn't believe what happened.
"I'm just in shock because just a few days ago, I said hi to the father and said hi to the mother,” said neighbor Diana Ordonez.
Relatives are trying to raise money for the five funerals. You can help here.
